Volunteer at Fairwood
Volunteers help make the Fairwood Farmers Market possible each week. From preparing the market space before vendors arrive to helping things run smoothly during setup and closing, volunteers support the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the market welcoming and organized.
Shifts vary throughout the day and are a great way to support local farmers, vendors, and your community. Volunteers receive drinks, market swag, and community service hours as a thank-you for their time.

Volunteers must be 14 years or older. Youth volunteers are welcome and younger volunteers may participate with a parent or guardian. -
Current opportunities include parking lot preparation, helping block off the market area, assisting with vendor setup, coordinating vendor arrival, and helping with teardown at the end of the market day. Additional roles may become available as the season progresses.

Most shifts range from about 1 hour to 4 hours, depending on the role. When you sign up, you’ll be able to choose the specific dates and shifts that fit your schedule. -
Yes! We welcome students and community members who need service hours for school, clubs, or work programs. We’re happy to verify volunteer hours after your shift.
